What is Dakota Fit 'n' Finish?
Fit 'n' Finish is a concept developed by Dakota to allow our customers the opportunity to bring the watch buying experience to a more personal level.  This is a (3) fold process, outlined below:

1) Learning More...
This step allows the customer to download an Acrobat pdf file of our Fit 'n' Finish watches before they purchase the watch.  This pdf allows the customer to view and print the watch out at actual size.  This printout contains a more detailed summary of the watch, while also allowing them to take it one step further and cut the watch out with a pair of scissors and see what it looks like on their wrist!  Overkill?  We're all about overkill here at Dakota (have you ever seen a fishing watch with a pair of line cutters, a hook sharpener, a carabiner clip, an alarm, a dial light, dual time displays, a compass, a thermometer, and an LED Microlight?  We have, it's called the Angler II)

2) Custom Fit...
This step allows the customer to actually fit the watch to their own wrist before they ever order it!  How do we do this?  When you download and print the Fit 'n' Finish pdf file for our Fit 'n' Finish equipped watches, you'll notice it also comes with a measuring device to cut out.  You then wrap this around your wrist to measure your fit.  When you add the watch to the shopping cart, you will be asked to enter the size required for Fit 'n' Finishing at an additional charge.  If you agree to this and enter your measurements, our onsite watch technicians will remove the desired links to create the size requested.  This way when you get the watch in the mail, it can go right onto your wrist without first taking a trip to one of our mall locations or your local jeweler to have it resized.
Please note that the custom fit sizing does not guarantee the watch will fit perfectly, this just ensures that the watch will be close to the specifications requested.  Minor fine tuning may be required, which can usually be done by the customer himself.

3) Personalized Expressions...
This step allows the customer to add a personalized engravable message right to the watch or band when they order it.  "Happy Father's Day" on a pocket watch or "Congratulations Jimmy!" on the caseback of a new dress watch only makes a gift more meaningful!  *Please note that we have to limit engravings to 12 characters PER LINE.
